Philosophy
Preetha Ali, MD, FACS, FASCRS is a highly skilled, board-certified general and colorectal surgeon. She specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of conditions affecting the colon and rectum, including common complaints such as hemorrhoids, anal fissures or fistulas to more complex conditions such as colorectal cancer and pelvic floor dysfunction. In every case, Dr. Ali aims to help patients with the least invasive, most effective treatment method available within national standards and guidelines.
Education
Dr. Ali received her BA in Chemistry from University of Pennsylvania, where she graduated magna cum laude. She received her medical degree from the University of Maryland School of Medicine (2008). Dr. Ali trained in general surgery at Stamford Hospital in Stamford, CT (2013) and went on to complete a fellowship in colon and rectal surgery at Swedish Hospital in Seattle, WA (2014). She is double board-certified in general and colon and rectal surgery.
